The 2A Ranch Field match consists of 8 stages utilizing natural terrain. Shooters will move as a squad but will be responsible for their own target ranges, wind and corrections.
***if you do not have a team mate, i encourage you to sign up anyway and put "no team mate" we can try to pair you with someone day-of or you can shoot it as a single if needed****
2A Ranch TEAM match format:
This is an 2 person team event, not a squad event. You will not be allowed to pre-game or touch any of the props/shooting positions before your turn to shoot. If a competitor is found not participating within the spirit of the match (rules, intent, sportsmanship, SAFETY), they will be removed from the premises.
- Shooters are responsible for ranging their own targets (while not on the clock)
ABSOLUTELY NO shared ranges, wind or corrections with other teams
- 1 shooter per team must have a semi-auto or rifle under 16lbs (with bipod)
- Some stage shooting positions will be marked by BLUE paint, rifle/bag must be in contact or directly over painted spot
- If positions aren’t marked, shooter may make positions anywhere with their rifle fully in the box
- Starting position is: all gear to be used on the clock, in hand and/or backpack, MAG OUT, bolt back. Tripods must be fully collapsed and folded. Bipods may be extended as needed
- Shooters start outside of box or 2 STEPS away from prop/position
- shooter CANNOT go back to their gear for any reason
- Shooter 1 inserts mag when in position, aimed at the first target, ready to shoot
- Shooter 2’s rifle is empty with the bolt up and back
- a shooter can “Skip” targets if needed, this must be called out to spotters, once targets have been skipped, shooter cannot go back
- Shots must be fired with rifle inside of the shooting box, shooter will be told to move if rifle is outside of the shooting box while on the clock
- 120 second (4 minutes) par time per stage
-walking/hiking is required
-there is no shade
-water is provided
-100 yard zero range is available
-tripod with glass and a rangefinder are MANDATORY for EVERY shooter
-all shooters are required to spot/score and RO
-COF will be mailed out 1 week before match start
-directions and match info will be mailed out 1 week prior to match date
-camping is available but must be coordinated 1 week prior to match date
$30 CASH ONLY (each shooter)
Timeline :
0730 - Gate opens (please do not be earlier than 0730)
0800 - safety brief (mandatory)
0815 - zero period
0830 - squads head to stages
0830 - match start
1500- match end
